To address this deficiency, many different weapons were mounted on the basic Sherman. One of the most psychologically devastating of these was the Sherman 'Calliope'. The T-34 'Calliope' mounted sixty 4.5" rockets in tubes above the tank. Though not particularly accurate, these fin-stabilized rockets, when fired en masse, created one heck of a mess downrange.
